Well, I’m following my dreams and moving to Vista, California on September 14th.
For years I’ve felt a pull towards the west coast, and I finally decided it’s time to stop making excuses and go.
Do I know for certain what will happen from there? No. Do I know if I’ll stay there? No. That’s okay. It’s a step in a new direction.
P.S. Free high five to anyone who can get me a little giraffe to kiss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVxxLYmypv8
There is so much I want to put into words right now, but I make up that it will be impossible to accurately describe how I feel. Expressing my gratitude for this past week is something I could do in a hug, but not with a keyboard or conversation. There’s too much love in it to be downgraded to two-dimensional text. I will try.
This has been the most incredible summer, and this is by far the best month ever.
I’ve learned (and continue to practice) patience, self-love, unconditional love, kindness, yoga, surfing, among other things. I’ve gotten my ass kicked by unrequited love, loneliness, my ego, my fears, and the ocean. Facing these and letting go made me stronger.
I’ve learned to be transparent, open, and honest. There is a boy I think about every day. I wish that he continues to do what’s best for him, and if it ends up including me, then that’s just a super bonus.
May you all be open with your hearts, face your fears, follow your joy, and always be kind.

This East Coast girl is heading out west to San Diego/LA for a bit.
So, peace out New York (and Tumblr), hopefully you’ll be glad to see me when I get back on the 10th. You know I love you as is.

“Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles, and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well. Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else.”

The Moment, my band Atomic Tom’s record, is out today on iTunes! Click the link in the title to grab it.
Guys, this is big. We’ve been living with this record for the last year, now it’s your turn. It’s super-cheap ($7.99) and you can help us climb the album charts! We’re at 80-something right now, which is incredible. Thanks, and you all rock.!
Friends, do yourself a favor and buy “The Moment” right now! Best album I’ve bought this year.
And you just brightened mine. <3
I just booked my flight to San Diego.
This really has been the best day/week/month ever!!
::does epic happy dance::
Don’t forget to find all the happiness exactly where you are.

I absolutely agree with this, and I believe it applies to ALL forms of love, love for a friend, love for a romantic partner, love for family, etc. The greatest gift we can give someone is to let them choose who they want to be. Unconditional love.

It’ s hard to imagine a more fundamental and ubiquitous aspect of life on the Earth than gravity, from the moment you first took a step and fell on your diapered bottom to the slow terminal sagging of flesh and dreams.
But what if it’s all an illusion, a sort of cosmic frill, or a side effect of something else going on at deeper levels of reality?
So says Erik Verlinde, 48, a respected string theorist and professor of physics at the University of Amsterdam, whose contention that gravity is indeed an illusion has caused a continuing ruckus among physicists, or at least among those who profess to understand it. Reversing the logic of 300 years of science, he argued in a recent paper, titled “On the Origin of Gravity and the Laws of Newton,” that gravity is a consequence of the venerable laws of thermodynamics, which describe the behavior of heat and gases.
“For me gravity doesn’t exist,” said Dr. Verlinde, who was recently in the United

I was super curious as to what this was (I made up in my mind that it was a music video) and when I realized it was an incredibly fascinating lecture about quantum physics and subatomic matter and string theory and spirituality….well, I did a happy dance. This is amazing.

Thank you! Yours is lovely too! <3
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.” —Mother Teresa (via littlemiss) (via diserty)
